  GTC Sports Ministry Goals
  
  1. To plant seeds of the Word of God (witnessing).
  
  2. To introduce the love of Jesus Christ using sports as a medium (a tool).
  
  3. Getting kids, adults off the streets into a safe environment.
  
  4. We care for our community.
  
  5. To show the love of Christ through our actions as Christians.
  
  6. Reaching people whom the church is not currently reaching.
  
  7. Using Thursdays basketball meeting to minister to the kids.
  
  8. To mentor kids and promote Physical fitness.
  
  9. Learning how to approach the games: controlling our emotions.
  
  10. Winning the game is not the primary goal; Winning souls are! To bring girls, women into sports ministry

5.  Sports is a Microcosm of life, opening the door to discipleship.

6.  Sports can Serve the mission filed as well as the one sent.

7.  Sports traditionally have been the avenue to climb out of their current social status.
