| FOLLOW-UP MINISTRY |
Follow-Up Ministry is all about good stewardship of those whom God brings to Peoples Church e very Sunday. They are our members and guests. They are the focus of the Ministry and its purposes and goals revolves around them.
The shepherd left the ninety nine sheep to look for the one who wandered away; the father rejoiced greatly and threw a feast for the prodigal son who returned home; the widow who lost a silver coin, lighted a lamp, sweep the entire house searching for the coin, not stopping until she finds it. These parables in Luke 15 is what motivates and drives us to do what we do. They are our guiding light.
To make our guests visit to Peoples Church memorable and in appreciation of their visit, gifts were given to the First-time guests, second-time returning guests, and third-time returning guests. We give the gifts when they hand in the guest card to us at the guest table information booth. This strategy was started in 2005. |
Action Plan for 2011:
Continue the giving of gifts to our guests every Sunday.
Share the vision of the Ministry to church members to encouirage and motivate them to serve.
Organize a telephone brigade from among the Ministry members who will commit to regularly call the guests assigned to them until the guest becomes a part of the congregation.
The new volunteers will undergo an orientation and short training. They will coordinate with ministry leaders and small group leaders concerning members who are sick, lost a loved one, hurting or discouraged so that we can send the appropriate card to
meet their needs for moral and spiritual support and to show that we care.
.
Open line of communication to guests with email address. Email church activities, send short encouraging Messages and offer to pray for their needs.
We pray to do much better and to improve for God's glory and honor in 2011! |
